Expanded Arundo Donax Bamboo Trial plantation at Sulawesi project site
Our trial plantation of Arundo Donax (bamboo) at Sulawesi project site, aimed at producing biomass for methanol, is progressing well since the first round of trial plantation of 195 stalks. The bamboo is thriving across different soil compositions:
Location 1: 70% sand, 30% clay
Location 2: 15% sand, 85% clay
Location 3: 50% sand, 50% clay
With over 2,600 stalks now growing from an initial 195 stalks, the trial confirms that Arundo Donax can adapt well to varying soil types on the island, showing strong growth without requiring special treatment. This success highlights its potential as a low-cost biomass source for methanol production
