Singapore Carries Out Ship-to-Ship Bunkering of Close to 1,340 Metric Tonnes of Blended Methanol
Singapore is advancing its methanol bunkering capabilities with significant progress in recent operations. On 24 May 2024, close to 1,340 metric tonnes of blended methanol were successfully bunkered ship-to-ship. The following week, a simultaneous methanol bunkering and cargo operation is scheduled for a container vessel, further testing mass flow meters (MFM) and digital bunkering technology. These developments bring Singapore closer to offering methanol bunkering at a commercial scale.
