Successful First Methanol Bunkering for Container Vessels at Tuas Port of Singapore
On 27 May 2024, X-Press Feeders, Global Energy Trading Pte Ltd (GET), and PSA Singapore successfully conducted Singapore’s first simultaneous methanol bunkering and cargo operation (SIMOPS) at Tuas Port. Supported by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), this operation also trialed the mass flow metering (MFM) system for methanol and digital bunkering. This milestone follows previous methanol bunkering successes, including the Laura Maersk in July 2023 and the Stena Prosperous in May 2024.
